Kelly Zabielski
Kelly Zabielski was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois from a liberal outgoing family. She was a star volleyball player and ended up getting a scholarship to play at Cal State Northridge. Once she experienced a snow free winter, she was hooked and has lived in California ever since.
After school she began working in renewable energy. She worked her way up and ended up in the finance department. After working in the industry for 11 years she lost her interest in life and sunk into a depression. Depression was something she knew well with it being part of her life since high school. Her brother and his family were out in LA at this time, too. He worked in comedy as a producer on Tosh.0. He kept encouraging her to get into a business that was fun. For Christmas that year he gifted her a Second City writing class.
She went a bit unwillingly, but once she was there it was the first spark she had felt in, well since she could ever remember. She knew there was something there to follow and explore. When her brother went to start working with Jim Jefferies, he asked if she wanted to come work for him. She took at $110,000 pay cut and said yes. Since then her sense of humor and creative energies have blossomed. She’s producing the Jim Jefferies Show Podcast, has her own show the Unsolicited Podcast, and is about to launch a third.
Her dream is to be a writer and in the meantime to spend as much time using her quick whit and humor to shine in the podcasting world.
