Episode 330: A Powerful Conversation Series About Civic Power in America: Turning Rights Into Actions
In this special episode of the Powerful Ladies Podcast, I sit down with the amazing Cara Stewart for a Powerful Conversation Series episode that’s been on my heart for a while. I’ve been having so many private conversations, within the Powerful Ladies community, with clients, and with friends, about how we can take meaningful civic action when it feels like the system isn’t working for us. Getting people to talk publicly about civic engagement has been harder than I expected. A lot of invited guests said no out of fear of backlash, which is exactly why I knew we had to have this conversation. Cara was brave enough to say yes, and she brought her deep experience in public affairs, crisis communications, and local activism to the table. She’s the chair of the Costa Mesa Democratic Club and runs a firm called WunderMarx. We talked about what’s happening in Orange County, how it shifted from a red county to a more progressive, civically engaged region, and why it’s so important for all of us to reclaim our power as citizens, especially now.
